Sustainability at Airbnbs in Texas

At Sweet Retreat Properties, we are committed to sustainable practices that minimize our impact on the environment while providing our guests with a unique and comfortable experience. Here are just a few of the ways we practice sustainability:

Solar Power

Our Riveted Retreat units are powered by solar panels, which provide a clean and renewable source of energy. This means that our guests can enjoy all the modern conveniences of home without relying on non-renewable energy sources.  We have invested so much into our power systems so that you get reliable and consistent power when staying at Riveted Retreat. The electricity in our area tends to be unreliable after storms, and we wanted to ensure our guests would have access to power as much as possible.

Eco-friendly amenities

We provide our guests with large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that we refill as needed, reducing the amount of single-use plastic waste generated.

Well water

Our Riveted Retreat units are supplied with well water, which is sourced directly from the ground rather than relying on municipal water supplies. This means that our guests can enjoy fresh, clean water without contributing to the strain on local water systems.

Cloth linens

While we provide guests paper products like paper towels (and obviously toilet paper), we also love to offer the option of using cloth napkins to help reduce paper waste for guests who choose to do so.

Native plants

We encourage and plant native plants around our property to minimize the need for irrigation and fertilizers. Native plants are well-adapted to the local environment and require less maintenance than non-native species.

By incorporating these sustainable practices into our short-term rentals, we are not only reducing our impact on the environment but also providing our guests with a unique and eco-friendly experience. We believe that small changes can make a big difference, and we hope to inspire others to adopt sustainable practices in their own lives as well.
